F800 fantasy - how should it develop?

Many of the suggestions above are excellent. Some of them could be implemented immediately at practically no increase in production costs.

I'd love to be able to participate in a owner clinic to help improve the bike and I could quite easily spend half an hour right now composing a comprehensive list of ideas but my experience with BMW shows they aren't interested in listening.

Pity.

Dual fuel. I want LPG on a bike for a start. Twin cans instead of one huge one, a decent seat, more power, tougher and a simpler design with cheap replaceable panels in case of accidents and better headlights. I also think it's important for ADV bikes to have some space around the clocks for mounting accessories.

800 Reality (shove your Fantasy)

Here It is nearly fully developed.

My F800GS fantasy...

1) helmet lock. a proper one, not underseat loops.
2) move plug in rear compartment for more space
3) taller 2-part screen, sliding mechanism
4) SEAT!
5) bashplate that covers cat. convertor, ex factory
6) factory fitted luggage rack
LED's built into back of mirrors, offering 'trianguleted outline'
7) underseat tire-levers
8) slimmer fuel tank, that holds more!!!:augie
9) footpeg bracket with 'high' and 'low' position
10) rear mud catcher to protect rear shock. Duh!
