Hi all,
Any owners of the 2024 model year F800 GS can tell me (or post a picture) if there is space under the seat for a Innovv K7?

Bike is on order, due in a few weeks and trying to sort out DashCam options.
Thanks
Andy

Yes there is plenty of space under the seat for it. I am hoping to get a K7 soon. In the meantime I have fitted my old Innov C3

Brilliant thanks. I’ll get one ordered so it’s ready for when the bike arrives. 👍

The biggest issue I’d finding somewhere to attach the, front camera.
Let me know if you find a decent solution

I will do. Hopefully can use the bolt that holds the headlamp cowl on ( in front of the indicator). Will probably require a spacer and longer bolt but would be a good position.

Did you guys manage to get it sorted? My 800 arrives in a few weeks!
Yes I got mine sorted.
Plenty of room for the k7 under the seat.
I’ve not worked out how to upload photos sorry but I purchased some small black aluminium stand-offs (metal tube about 10 mm long and external diameter small enough to fit into the bolt hole that holds on the headlight cowel. The one just in front of the indicator. I think I needed a slightly longer hex headed bolt but theses are easy to get on line. Search for BMW screws or bolts etc.
The stand off is longer than the depth of the hole, so using the brackets supplied with the K7 you can tighten the bracket up and it doesn’t tighten against the cowling, but the bottom of the hole correctly as per the existing bolt does.
I hope that is understandable?
It is possible.
Buy some stand offs
Buy longer bolt.
Use brackets supplied with K7
Done! :-)

FYI
With the rear camera I mounted it above the rear tail light using a bolt into the underside of the rack/top box plate thing.

Good luck!!

@Dockers where did you connect your yellow wire to? I haven’t connected mine up yet but am planning on posi tapping it into a suitable location. Which did you go for?

EmmaC, I purchased a ‘Denali switched power adapter ( about £25 I think). It fits to a plug on the right hand side inside the plastics near to the TFT. It is fairly awkward to do but completely reversible and no potential problems of tapping into the wrong wire.

Thanks, meanwhile I have ordered a Thunderbox to connect to the battery as well as the Innov but to put the yellow wire into the Thunderbox to avoid that situation of tapping into the wrong wire and possibly voiding the warranty.
