My good lady is struggling with the standard levers on her 800 GS.

Nippy Normans have some lovely fully adjustable ones for £99 each, but that's a lot of hours at work.

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of these or similar off Ebay.

Or any other useful suggestions. I have tried to search for a previous thread but either there isn't one or I failed at the first hurdle.

Cheers

Thanks for that mate, when we test rode the 800's at Rainbow we rode a bike with them fitted (Frans) and yes very nice, adjustable for reach and the length as well.
They are well made and well I don't need to say more as you have them.
We've collected the two bikes and having rode over 700 miles this weekend, we could both do with the better levers, certainly a priority for Jane. But that's £400 in total.
I was just wondering if the Ebay ones are okay, another £60 a lever is a lot of cash. And yes I know the last thing I want to do is every time we ride wish we'd bought the better ones.

The bike are keepers but it's a lot of money.

Cheers and thanks for the offer, I'll take you up on that. I've your mobile number unless you've changed it, so will bell you about a convenient time for you over the next weeks or so. Bikes are in for first service on Wednesday.
Regards Steve

Got some hong kong fooy levers like this and they are spot on!

Red 1 thanks for that I assume they fit as they should.

Did you opt for the long or stubby levers.

Cheers

Apologies Steve .... a CRAFT moment :blast

Suddenly realised it was your good self and Jane ;)

I'm away up to the Dales next week .... but if you've ridden Frans with the Wunderlich levers then you know that they're excellent quality and 'do the job' :thumb

Mobile number still the same .... ring any time :thumb

If I don't answer I'm out of the country ;)

I had Chinky levers on my 800 and now on my 1200 - just great quality. I had long levers on the 800 but have the adjustable ones on the 1200 - I like to brake with 2 fingers but clutch with all four.

Thanks for taking the time to reply, thoughts etc. :beerjug:

Micky I'll probably wait until you are back, have a good trip to the Dales and lets hope the rain stops.

Cheers :)

Skin is waterproof you know ... like Gortex, it lets the sweat out but not the water in :thumb

Jaq ...

... has short levers on her F650GS, can't remember what make they are but she says they transformed her ability to control the bike :thumb

Thanks again guys, the adjustable levers are a must for Jane but it's whether we need to spend the £200 or £80 ones almost/just as good. :nenau

Aye up Steve where did you get to on the bikes? Not seen you at work for a bit. Nowt new to report though mate :beerjug:

Hello mate, first day up the Hawes competing with the horse and carts and across into the Yorkshire Moors, then home.
Followed by two days up to Peebles on the best roads and we missed most of the rain, the two days to the borders was great, dry roads and mainly blueish skies. :)
The bikes are fabulous, now they've had the first service I will sort a day out with you and Rich asap. Hendo's up for a day out too.
Be in touch :beerjug:

I have the ones you are looking at on e Bay. They are fine but i have the short ones and it is taking some getting used to as i am not use to 2 fingered braking or clutching.

I would def get the chinese ones rather than 99quid ones from NN

They are Wunderlich ones. I have them on mine too - they make a huge difference. I guess I might have tried the chinese ones, but then if they are no good you will end up spending even more money.

Thanks for the thoughts folks, :beerjug:
Yes the usual dilemma, if I was broke or jobless, which luckily I'm not, then there would be no choice, Chinese would be the way to go and accept the risk and possibly not the best quality.
No one likes parting with money if they don't need to, a dilemma and a gamble. What to do.
But thanks for your input.
Keep searching for some cheap/in the sale Wunderlich ones maybe the way to go.
Cheers
