F800 GS Raffle draw update

the hairyback version....:aidan

The guys from ANOTHER WAY AROUND have travelled on their motorbikes from Lands End to John O'Groats, have visited the four corners of the UK (from Edinburgh Castle to Dover, Lands End, Cape Wrath, John O'Groats and back to Edinburgh Castle) and are going to take on a demanding ride across the Alps in May 2009.

And all for charity.

They are bikers with huge hearts, enormous stamina and have raised over £15,000 for various charities in the last three years. They're still giving their spare time to good causes and the latest fund-raising event has a huge prize.

WIN A NEW F800GS

5 UK pounds will enter you into the draw to win a brand new
BMW F800GS.

Tickets are on sale now at Motorrad Central East & West.

The draw will take place at Motorrad Central East on 28th Feb at 2pm.

Special guests include Music Legend Fish, Rock Radio's Tom Russell & one of the biggest TT Stars around, Jim Moodie.

At 1pm, Jim will be doing a talk on his amazing racing career followed up with a question & answer session.

At 2pm one very lucky winner will ride away with a brand new F800GS but you've got to be in it to win it. So if you haven't bought a ticket yet, there's still time.

Thought it was at the dinner :blast :D

Im away for a run an ma bike.

Who won the bike then ??????????

Well after a very long agonising wait (nearly 3.0 o'clock) I found out that it was not me :(

Well that was a bloody useless "positive thinking" course I went on a couple of weeks ago. :augie

Anyway the winner is the guy 2nd from left in the photo below. He seemed genuinely taken aback when he realised he had one. Good luck to him :thumb2

if it had been me I would have been jumping up and down (just like when I picked up my R1200GS. Got paid off yesterday (bloody credit crunch) so had therefore planned on selling the 800GS and taking Skye to Disneyland USA, well so much for that plan

Good to see and catch up with Ronno and his better half, plus, Blackall, Garfield, Cunning Fox and a few others and of course all the friendly staff at Mottorad Central, both from Dalkeith and some of the gang from Bishopbriggs.

From left to right
Jim Moodie, bike winner (a customer of MCE East), Fish and Tom Russell.

Frau Ronno was fed up by the time we left cos I'd telt her we'd be there for aboot half an oor. :augie My only crit wid be that (IMHO) they should have made the draw afore Jim Moodie took the floor.
