F800GS Launched at Milan

Must admit, that looks rather nice :thumb2

I look forward to hearing about it when you buy yours, Bob :thumb

Here are a couple of pics.

There is a thread running under the technical section that is worth a look.

I wonder what that underseat tank holds ? If its range is less than 200 miles it won't suit me.

Adn from the other side. . . . (also available in grey).

Been there, seen that and sat on the beast! :D

The Morini 1200 trailie looks good.

Stelvio better in metal than pics.

Luggage ok too ;

Should go like stink with a claimed 130bhp.

I've ridden the Corsaro with the same motor and that is insane.

Stelvio utterly hideous in my opinion.

'Quite fancy one o' them, but not the new F650GS.'

I was told the 650 was to be discontinued Ron , by the very same illustrious gent you mention.

That newbee is a beaut :bow:clap:thumb2, shame its a mini R1200gs :P

ARC.

Looks like the F650GS is to be replaced by an 800cc F650GS.

There was word that there were to be two versions, a "cooking" version, which I would take to be the new F650GS, which is more road orientated, and an Adventure type, which I take it as the F800GS, especially as there are pics doing the rounds with it fitted with trail type tyres, plastic boxes and engine bars. Then again there are pics of the 800 "nekkid" as it were, with no boxes, bars etc., and fitted with Tourances. Looks like all the "extras" will be at extra cost, which, no doubt, will push the price up to circa. £8k. So it seems that you'll be able to buy a "standard" 800GS and add on the bits as and when your wallet allows.

I'm doing the off road course next year and they emailed today to say I could get first choice of the 800, so how could I refuse!! Can't wait, looks like an awesome bike!:bounce1

I really fancy going on it but can't book anything as I don't know when I'm working next year:mad:

So I'll need to try and get a cancellation at short notice but seeing as how it's a popular course I'm not hopeful .

Is the new 650 not a sleeved down version of the 800 engine?

Nope - it's a detuned version (71 bhp)of the "full strength" 800 (85 bhp).

BMW are at it again. JC's allocation for the year is 6 or 8 plus a demonstrator.
Shades of the 1150/1200GS's. Do they no realise they'll probably sell mair than they can make.

As they had no 1200adv on the date Tash booked tried to swap dates to two days before

Surcharge for changing dates £50 guess Tash is going herself robbing bastards:spitfire

A cracking looking bike, without the problems of a final drive :augie

Think the 800 engine is quite frugal - so could be handy.
