Why iam liking the little 800 GT so much.

It's a weight thing. If only the Gt. had a supercharger.

Whats the real fuel range of the GT.

Stop me I can't help my self it's so smooth.

Depending on how your ride it, it should do 200 + miles on a tank but if it had a supercharger it certainly would do as much as that. If you really want a supercharged 800, your only choice is to buy a VFR and fit the A&A Performance supercharger kit - http://www.aaperf.com/vfrkit-gen6.html

I had an 800ST (predecessor of the GT) for two years. It was easily capable of returning 60+ mpg, which would give a range of 180+ miles with 20 miles or so in reserve. I thought it was a brilliant bike, and still sometimes regret ditching it in favour of my GSA. Only sometimes, mind - and the feeling soon passes...

I've got a F800GT as a loaner this weekend while my GS is at the dealers for work. I have to say, it leaves me cold, just does nothing for me at all. Perhaps I've just been spoiled by the boxer.

I had an F800ST before my GSA. It would go around 200-220 miles on a tank and averaged about 55mpg on short runs in the UK and 60ish touring europe. It had to go in the end as it was too small for my 6'6" frame. Didn't stop me from riding from Interlaken to North Yorkshire in one go, but I walked like an 80 year old afterwards. The engine was noisy, but I never actually had any problems and it had done 29000 miles when it traded it in.

P.S. It was also noticeably slower than my TC GSA.

The 800 (less power) should be slower on top speed. Maybe. The GSA is one heck of a brick in comparison

I had an F800ST and it was blimmin' economical http://www.fuelly.com/driver/bbb/f800st I found the power it had also very useable on our roads; a cracking engine but a little lacking on overtakes. I know not everyone feels this way with the F8. The economy could get crucified in cold weather and town driving, but it was capable of 200mile tanks when the going was good. Whilst not as economical, I guess the GSA will get 350 odd miles? I'm waiting to become an official GSer :) Hopefully soon.
