had a demo of the above yesterday,( thanks andy cromar at j. c. dundee ).
a bit of a hoot, however not for me as the pegs are too high for my knees one of which is a replacement.
plenty of grunt, quicker than my 09 gs. engine a little bit rough but not many vibations in the bars or pegs, a good response to the throttle.
suspension supple and firm, great on the twisty bits, not much fork dive and absorbs small bumps/ripples on the road a lot better than the gs.
gear change/ clutch good. brakes good, maybe not got the initial bite of the gs but that could be due to the telescopics instead of the gs setup. quite a good wide screen that put the airflow on my upper chest/shoulders, i'm 6ft tall and it took the weight nicely off my wrists, the belt drive has it's attractions as i don't like chains. if bmw could smooth out the engine it would be hard to beat in my opinion.
all in all an excellent wee bike that any body with younger more flexible joints should seriously consider.
