Like a lot of us the buttons and their diagrams fade away so I thought of buying a decent set of switches but frankly the prices were silly.

So i bought these instead

https://moto-discovery.com/eshop/bmw-control-switch-replacement-stickers.html

A bit fiddly to fit but the result i am well pleased with. Now the red stop start switch and the horn button have also been sorted too with the help of a red permanent marker pen, which looked ok but now looks sooo much after a little rub with some very fine wet and dry (used wet) to knock off the pen shine.

Basically the stickers come in 2 parts, one is the white diagram and the other is clear plastic that goes over the top, ideally you need a a very sharp blade like a plastic modelling blade and a pair of fine tweezers, so the white diagrams are quite thin and you have to be very gentle with them both getting them off the backing paper and then arranging them on the switches, patience is what you need and a steady hand. i took my time and have been very pleased with the result, so far they have resisted the 35 plus degs of sun and heat and not come unstuck. The only thing i will say is the diagrams are and exact copy, the clear film that goes over the top is quite shiny so when you look closely you can tell they aren't original, but hey for the money and on an 07 year bike for me it's transformed it.
