It appears that buying a new R1200GS gives some of the various accessories suppliers the impression that i have more money than sense(def not true), having ordered various parts from Touratech i now find that just because they're in their catalogue doesnt mean they are available at all, and when i order the extended front mudguard from MotorradConcepts along with the only rear hugger on the market from the same "not for profit" company my money disappears into a black hole belonging to ebay (paypal) or Motorad Concepts with no order acknowledgement or delivery date, despite the front mudguard being ex stock, emails are met with a response that no ones in the office for two weeks.

It appears that suppliers seem to think goodwill is something you can take for granted and not something that is earnt through good service, has anyone else had similar experiences when trying to source extras for their new R1200GS or have i just been unlucky?

Hi Welshmagician,

Sorry to hear that you didn't get an order acknowledgement.

The Dutchman is indeed away on his bike at the moment and will be back this coming weekend.

He had set up the order system to respond automatically.....It must have had a glitch.

Regarding order fulfillment, the dates are outlined on the website here for all to see..... http://www.motorradconcepts.com/latestnews.htm

Hope that helps..

PS

We certainly do not consider our fellow bikers "Fair Game", far from it.

Our 'Unconditional Lifetime Guarantee' states, you will get a full refund if not satisfied with any of our products...we can't be any 'Fairer' than that, surely...

For what it's worth, there has been a PayPal system problem recently which has now been sorted out. It lasted about 2 weeks starting early October.

I wasn't receiving the notification emails that PayPal normally sends as soon as a customer makes a purchase. Usually what happens is when the customer makes the final "click", PayPal debits their account immediately and at the same time credits the recipients account and emails them with the payment and customer details.

I found during the recent problems that, whilst the payments were being made and were correctly logged on my account, I wasn't receiving the notification email. I just had to go to my online PayPal account and get the details from there instead which is not something I usually do. Luckily I worked out what to do and didn't miss any orders.

When PayPal fixed the problem, I received the overdue email notifications all at once.

I've been using PayPal for quite some time now and this is the first time I've been affected by a problem/outage. I am generally pretty impressed with their reliability.

Well I purchased 2 tobinators and I got them pretty quickly, for a price that I consider as fair.
:D
