I received excellent customer service from Dave the manager at HG Taunton who replaced the jacket with the Master jacket without any hassle, which in turn led to me buying some decent (and more expensive than I would usually go for) gloves.
Very reassuring thread. I was on my way to Spain last month when I noticed the right sleeve was opening along the stitching between Cordura and Leather. Taped it up with Gaffer Tape and carried on. Then the left sleeve opened. Then the right again. Pretty p****d off as the jacket had only been worn three or four times. Anyway, when I got home I went to H-G in Glasgow (Andy Alexander). He couldn't have been nicer - told me it was a common fault in a particular batch and replaced it with a Master jacket (minor price adjustment). Delighted with the new jacket and still happy with the Maxwell trousers. I think H-G are great!
Spider. Glad all worked out OK... don't know how much the small price adjustment was, but for me there was NO price adjustment... just a straight swap.
