I can't really afford it, but an ex GSSER has approached me and asked if I would be interested in buying his old low Sargent seat (front and back). He has moved to a RT because he found the GS too big for him and the seat is now surplus.

If I am looking at the right web site they are about £600 new, is that right?

I dont wont to offend so I thought you guys might be able to tell me what they have previously sold for. (I have done a search but cant find any on here).

Once I have decided I will of course tell him about this place :hide

Thanks

Simon

I bought and sold on this site for £300 about 2 years ago.

My thoughts on second hand are never pay more than 1/2 price so £300 I think would be fair. The real question is what does he think is fair and are you prepared to pay it?

Thanks for the heads up. Think I would be daft not to have them at £300 which includes silver piping and M3 logo.

I was trying to save up for a Zumo! Oh well

Who said biking was cheap? :rob

Cheers

Simon

(About to advertise a GS 1200 BMW LOW seat in the classified section):augie

I have a pair, excellent condition with lovely red piping, which I was hoping to sell for £375. Bike will be going in the spring, with it's standard seats re-fitted. Anyone interested in the Sergants?

I'm interested at £375 [providing they are in good condition etc], however part of the deal will be that you sign up properly on the site :thumb2

Sorry about delay in responding - have been away for a couple of days. Not sure whether the bike's going yet (head says it should, heart says no) so am hanging on to seats for now. If I can bring myself to sell the bike I'll pm autogs and caranatauk before I advertise seats to see if you're still interested. Have also done the right thing and joined the 'tossers' - that's one resolution sorted. Happy riding in 2010 and enjoy you're bikes too!

£350 - £375 would seem to be a reasonable price, it's what I got mine for from this site, the low seat version might a bit rarer than the normal one which may reflect in the price!
