False neutrals

My 08` gsa has done 13,000 miles, and now seems to be developing a more and more false neutral fault between 5th & 6th gear. Its only on the up change. The gear indicator goes blank and nothing engages. Also i have noticed a more than normal rattle from the gearbox when starting from cold, after a minute or so it returns to normal rattlly noise. The false neutrals seem to be getting more frequent. Has anyone else had or is suffering the same faults.

When was the gearbox oil last changed? If recently then it might be worthwhile cleaning and regreasing the linkage between the gear lever and the gear box.

Happened to me recently on my 09, its only done 400 miles so I'm hoping its not going to be a 'feature' of the bike. Didn't happen once on my last one

bike had its 12,000 miles service recently, ive checked all the linkage, no faults there. the bike has had 3 final drives now (mmmm). wonder if this again may be causing some issue.

I had a situation where it did not show neutral, started engine clutch in, clutch let out bike jumped forward nice graze on H&P engine bars.

Sore one - nae happy.
