These has proved very popular with 1200GS and 1150GS owners so far.

There is a F650 version available as well.

The Webshop is now open at www.eibcltd.co.uk Okay a month later than planned.

However call beofre placing your order as I am offering discounts to UKGSers

Sorry the image shows it fitted to another model but the F650 version is designed specifically for the bike.

Price

Hi

They are £75 incl P&P to the UK Mainland, there would be a small surcharge for it to go to Ireland.

PM me if you want more details

I would not recommend the Famsa tankbag. I friend of mine has one on his Duc Multistrada. I see a few weakspots in the design of the Famsa bag.

  • The map compartiment has a very odd shape that will not hold a map folded "open" unless you torture it by folding half of the map away. And it is small. So long for map life.
  • The bag is attached to the baseplate with a zipper. This looks smart, but in the dark with a slightly overloaded bag it's hard to get the teeth of the zipper to line up.

My advice, buy the Touratech tankbag. Easy on- easy off, and it has a nice large map compartiment.

Map Size

I'm not sure what you mean about the map and having to have the open portion folded in half. I've just run a ride out for 30 guys and had no problem with a UK O/S map just folded normally.

Also I not only sell them I started off as a user, zipping on and off the bag is no problem at all in my experience even in the dark, a matter of seconds

I've sold a load of these to UKGsers and not heard back about fitting them at all.

But you do see the differences in size of the map compartiment between the Famsa bag, and the Touratech one I hope? In the Touratech bag you can see TWO pages of the map, that's the difference.

To zip or not to zip, that's the question. Some like it, I don't. All I say is, the Famsa bag is not my favorite one, and I told why. Nofi.

Sorry

I respect your views, Life is all about personal preferences.

I understand what you mean now, however when I read it first time, it sounded as if you meant you had to fold a standard O/S map in half, beyond it's normal folds.

I have been duly admonished :type :peach:

I bought one of these bags from Caveman and find that it is a very well made and sturdy bag. OK the map pocket is small (ish) but then I use a GPS and only refer to the map when I'm off bike. The zip I personally find very easy to get on and off. For the money I doubt it can be beaten.

What JohnC said, plus i have the tent in one side bag and the fly sheet int tuther then the poles along the BM case. I did give the whole lot a good seeing too with NikWax though. :thumb
Thanks for a brill product Caveman.
Lyn.
