Fanless Super Bright H7 25W 4000LM Luxeon ZES Canbus LED Light Conversion to BMW

As far as i know you dont need a conversion kit.

But they are way way way overpriced,

I had a simliar set up fited to my 06 hexhead

Same arrow configuration indicators <> on the front & <--> on the rear.

The "-" part lighting up when i braked, as well as my normal taillamp

It didnt however have white Leds on the front,

But, and here's the big but, i very much doubt the brigtness claims on the fronts are as good as they make out.

to fit these type of units you have to remove the reflector bowl, so all the light output is from the Leds

i think i paid £50 for my set

The electronics onboard each led array contained the required resistors so canbus didnt have a hissy

wireing was plug and play on the front, and rear, with a bridge cable to the rear stop lamp feed

Found them :)

some H7 vehicles get a shield in front of the bulb, a 2005 to 2011 ford focus for instance... here the fitment of LCD bulbs is OK as direct eye contact is averted.... but the GS doesn't have this (as far as I remember) so would be very dangerous to other road users

Just fitted Philips H7 LED to my 2010 GS, type as shown below.
Low beam didn’t work at first and came up with lamp fault.
Switched it off, swapped over lamps, both low and high beams now working.
Much brighter that the standard halogens.
£69.95 from local car parts accessory store. Apparently these LEDs are new to the market but they don’t say on box if they’re Canbus compatible.
Still got to test it in the dark on the road

Please ignore this as being a success.
High beam works ok all the time however Low beam comes on intermittently and then switches off most of the time, stating “lamp fault”.
When Low Beam does work it is bright, but no point in it if it’s not reliable 🤦‍♂️
Sorry folks….

My experience with H7 Led bulbs in the stock headlight was that I was constantly being flashed by drivers day and night .
I would sometimes pull up behind a car and have them put their hand over the rear view mirror even in the daytime because of the dazzle.
As many on here have done, I purchased the Chinese Led Headlight complete unit a couple of years ago ,brighter than the LED H7 bulbs and have not been flashed ounce . :)

Like Mistacat I tried H7 Leds and also H7 Hids. The main problem, in my opinion, is the design of the reflector The dip and main move together so if I got main right, dip was to high and if dip was right main was to low.

Solved with the Aliexpress led headlight. I had fitted hids into my auxiliary lights to get a decent low beam light output, needn't have bothered as the led headlight overpowers them it's that good, plus a nice flat cut-off so doesn't blind anyone here or in Europe.

I have H7 LED fanned bulbs,

Setting the beam height is a start, and then a couple of strips of masking tape across the top of the headlight help in winter

Check your vertical adjustment, i found that the adjuster can pop off the adjuster ball, and the unit then defaults to pointing upwards (DAHMIK) ;)

I looked at the Chinese lamp unit, but doesn't that have height alignment issues as well ?

Well aware of the ball and socket on the stock headlight, this is easily fixed by looping a piece of string around it and pulling it back into place.
Headlight adjustment is not a problem on the Chinese units, I made an adjuster out of stainless as in the photo, and 3D printed adjusters are available on the forum.
