Fastways or Pivot Pegz?

Want to get my pegs a little lower and achieve a larger foot print.

Don't need rufty tufty that will rip my road boot soles to shreds but can anyone with experience of both offer their views on pros and cons?

Going on an 1150GS

Don't want footpeg lowering kit as I've been there and ground them down to within a few thou of their life

Pivotz help with ankle articulation and make it easier to change gear etc

Fastways are easier on the boot soles and you can fit them in 2 height positions

Not much help.....................but I would use Pivotz, were I to change from the skinny OE BMW pegs (which I find ok with size 11's)

Save yourself a fortune Andy and get some 2nd hand pegs off a Pan European.
They're wider and lower than standard and best of all they fit

Does sir have large feet or little ballerina footsies?

It will probably take you a while (and lot of cursing) if you have large feet.....with my (size 13) off-road boots on, I have major problems still, particularly when two-up


If you don't have plates like barges, you may be ok.

The pivot pegs are very grippy (but don't scrape your shins on them ) and are extremely comfortable when standing up.

Tootsies are 12/47 and I wear Daytona Roadstar GTX booties.

Its since I put the Corbin on that the knee is too bent for my liking and too much pressure is on the foot/ankle to maintain that position, I reckon with say 10mm lower my leg would be less bent and less pressure on the foot/ankle on the pegs.

The wider footprint will help when I stand up going over the speed humps

Put a set of Fastways on the 1200 a couple of weeks ago... then left the bike in the garage for a few days before going for a ride.... 20 miles into the ride I remembered I'd got the fastway's fitted....

Praise enough I think The original peg's footprint was far too narrow and felt like your foot was on a knife edge....

Meawhile Since then I can't believe how comfortable they are on the feet

got fastways on mine and they are superb.but also have a set of lowering brackets to,which i maybe selling.

For my two penny's worth, the pivot pegs are great, but unless you need them then the fastaways have a bigger area and are much more comfortable for those of a larger size, speaking as one who easliy qualifies in that department ;-)

grabbed a pair of Pan Euro pegs of Ebay for £10 so I'll give them a try.

For off roading, Pivot Pegs.

For me, neither, thay are both too dear

Don't know the price difference between the two, but I got my Pivotpegz as a show offer, so were more affordable. Having not tried the Fastways, I can't comment, but the Pivotpegz work a treat for me.

Pivotz are great on the road as well, you can move the angle of you feet for flexibility and comfort. Just as wide as Fastways and more flexible IMHO.

got my Pan European pegs fitted last night, not sure I'm going to get on with the gear lever though as it's that bit closer to the peg and a bit tight for my size 11s.

how have others found this?

is it something I just need to get used to or do I get the plastic out and buy a touratech adjustable lever?

just spotted this,

I found I got used to them very quickly actually and don't have a problem with changing gears at all now
