decided to add my First Harley to the Garage today next to my RT…. been thinking about it for a while and made it happen today…Got a good deal on a new FatBob ,, the demo i took out was vivid black and a silver stripe,,,,,,unfortunately this one was not for sale or available for a while..dealer had in stock the denim black with a red strip or an Olive one…need to let him know tomorrow which one i am purchasing.

looking forward to the banter on here too now

Be aware that 'Denim Black' paint is thinner than Posh Spice and very prone to wearing through in contact areas. On the upside it will give you an excuse for a respray in the next two years.

You say that now .......

Is the Denim finish that poor then?

It looks kinda cool in the showroom... But what do I know? :nenau

:D

the Sales guy did say something that it does fade !!! as in denim Material like jeans !!! not sure i want that type of look ,,,I'm more of a gloss man .Thanks for the words though

My Dad used to wear a matching blue denim jacket and jeans in 1976. He also used to have a Bobby Charlton "comb over" as well. And yes he looked a twat when it was windy and was outside without his bobble hat. :blast

From my understanding the denim black is easier to care for. It was a tough choice between Vivid Black and Denim Black for me and I will say that the vivid black bike is faster =) A shame they couldn't get one for you...

I have a good buddy who bought the denim black just after mine and has had really good luck thus far. Just follow the directions, mostly the "don't" section.

Enjoy the Bob! Nothing beats the look of those double headlights, and the saddle is the most comfortable I've ridden from the MoCo.

I've been told that as long as you do not try to polish it in any way, just give it a wash and a wipe down it's fine...but, like all matt finishes it will be unforgiving to rub marks etc. I saw a 8,000 mile, two year old street bob in denim the other day and it was unmarked...

Ohh, and welcome.......

If by 'fade' he meant wear through, then he's spot on ;)
