Just back from a Sunday meander and noticed some strange “damage” to the rear Conti TA3. Like most I’ve had my fair share of punctures, but not seen anything like this, any thoughts on faulty tyre versus odd debris causing damage???

Looks like you’ve run over something like a bit of pipe fitting.
So long as it’s not loosing air then forget about it.

Odd. Could be an inclusion in the material & I'd get a second opinion as if that is an inclusion and displaces you could be in bother..

Dropped into GTC near Guildford today to have an investigate, looks likeI managed to hit something sharp and cyclindrical that acted like a corer on the tyre. Damaged section came out like a plug and you could clearly see the cords were mangled … dodged the puncture bullet, but still another £145 for a new boot.
