Doing my First Bike On Scene first aid course on sunday. An initiative of the Bikesafe group. Free in North Wales i believe, don't tell everyone.
Looking forward to learning some valuable info.
Being a dad of 2 gorgeouse girls ,one 2 and one 5 months,all the more relevant.
Will reply with feedback of day. 9am-4pm.
Hope to do my Bikesafe course next, maybee my ROSPA soon. Planning to do a few more miles on 1200gsa commuting day and night. All year.

Very worthwhile course today.
Highly recommend to anyone, biker or not.
Learnt a lot especially being a complete beginner.
Relaxed atmosphere , easy to participate allll goood.
Hope i never have to use these skills but have confidence in knowing i am prepared for the worst.

Good to hear you enjoyed the FBoS - I have used the skills taught, but only once so far. We were 1st bikes on scene of a head-on collision between 2 cars - things just 'slotted' into place.

If you haven't done any further training I would certainly recommend the BikeSafe course as a first step - even though it is now a 1-day course. Both the RoSPA & IAM 'courses' are based on 'Roadcraft', the police riding system, although different emphasis is placed on different areas.

The 'local' IAM group (NWAM) operate on a one-to-one basis with their Associates (see nwam.org.uk) for more info.
