Been doing some scanning as I do family history research and came across this

Unfortunatly Triumph was a second rank brand. Raleigh bought the bicycle rights to the name from the Triumph motorcycle company in 1954. There's no connection to Triumph automobiles - Sorry to break the bad news

Shirley Triumph Automobiles became part of Standard? and later BLMC? manufacturers of fine machines such as the Herald and Standard 8.... nothing to do with Triumph motorcycles!
