Ahh! the old North Road handlebars.

Unfortunatly Triumph was a second rank brand. Raleigh bought the bicycle rights to the name from the Triumph motorcycle company in 1954. There's no connection to Triumph automobiles - Sorry to break the bad news :)

Shirley Triumph Automobiles became part of Standard? and later BLMC? manufacturers of fine machines such as the Herald and Standard 8.... nothing to do with Triumph motorcycles! ;)
 
Didn't have a pet Kestrel a couple of years later did you?
