My iphone crashed yesterday and went into recovery mode. I've connected it to Itunes and done the restore. The phones now saying it's been locked using an Icloud account that seems to going back all the way from my Iphone 3 days four years ago. I haven't a clue what the apple ID is or what the password is. running through the "Forgot apple ID" process just results in my current apple ID password being reset.

I've looked for and tried various options on the internet but none work.

Is there a way round this bullshit?

There is: Android! :D

Yep Android all the way. Built for user freedom of choice and open source os, easily rooted and customised to your needs if you want.
Apple iCrap, built for Apple control and mega bugs profits, can be jail break'd but it's still restricted compared to Android

You should only have only one Apple ID & password unless you have changed it. I've had 3 different iPhones & all have used the same log in details.
If you are not far from an Apple store I would ring & make an appointment to see one of their guys. Failing that do a search on the Apple forums.

create a new apple id & password.
1. Click SETTINGS button from main screen of your iPhone
2. Within SETTINGS, scroll down and click the (app) STORE button
3. Within STORE, scroll to the bottom and click on the field APPLE ID
note: this should contain your current Apple Id
4. Choose the option SIGN OUT
5. This should take you to a screen SIGN IN
if not force it there by asking to update your apps
6. Sign in using your new Apple Id & password

perhaps

the IOS is not up to date. Instead of restoring it from the icloud try doing a restore and select the option to set it up as a new iphone. If that works you can then add all your apps etc. from itunes.

Yup and Google know more about you than the fecking NSA !!!

WTF :blast what do you think Apple do then? Oh yeah, you know 'Apple' the company who have been down grading the performance of their older phones as new ios upgrades come along hoping that their punters ditch it and get a new one. Apple also suspect on battery control on older phones, probably why they don't have user replaceable batteries like Samsung and some others ;)
Then there is the Apple restrictions on iPhone browsers such as Opera, you have t wonder why they want all web browsing via their own Safari browser ;)
Apart from NSA and GCHQ etc the network track and monitor you. If you use a mobile you're being tracked all the time it's switched on.

Just because Google or the NSA track my phones it doesn't mean that they know who I am or what I do ;-)

ps, If the NSA or GCHQ track me they are welcome :D I've never thought that my life and movements were that interesting:cool:
