Let's wake the neighbours
It sounds like i'm just about to leave port!

while testing the old curtains kept twitching
:beerjug:

Not that easy to mount on a 650 GS but managed to bolt it under the beak.... hope it stays there

Yea thats what nick has fitted on his 1150, well loud arnt they, I took it out tonight for a little ride about, used it by accident whilst looking for main beam on a dark lonely road...

I`ve had one for 6 months but cant make up my mind where to fit it...Lets see your pics please.

I mounted mine as detailed in this article:-

http://www.f650.us/images/maintenance/horn/index.htm

But I used some shelf brakets from B&Q. A lot studier than the bracket in the article. I bought two brackets and bolted them together to form an 'S' type shape and then cut them down to size. Worked well and the horn is solid, won't budge. :D

Mine is on a 650 Dave if it's for your 1150 the owners on the other pages might be better help than me. would imagine there is loads of space on a big bike like that.
Whatever you put it on tho use the supplied relay or buy one. needs a lot of juice more than normal horn wiring

Thanks Foodle but I dont have crash bars fitted.....I`ll have to give this some more thought.

Don't need em.
Mine sits under the beak. take of the beak then split the top from the bottomusing the 4 side screws. Remove the original horn and take the plug off the wires to it.
drill a hole in the side of the well of the underside of the beak.
I made a short s shape metal strip bolted one end through the above hole the other to the new horn.
wire up using the relay (u need it) + and - wires feed through the vents in the well of the under beak
my camera is on the blink i'll get pics soon

This things sat on my shelf all year so I`m going to pull my thumb out of my bum and get it fitted...Cheers
