Shep of the Dessert
Ah! That's better.
Can any body help pleeeeeaaaaase i'm at my wits end in trying to understand what i'm trying to achieve!!!
Had an old out of date website, we wanted a new site, Yell.com come along and offers a good deal on an advertising and web creation/hosting package.
New website was made and I asked if it could be accessed via my domain name used for the old site.
I was asked to get my name server connections changed over to new settings which I did, then at the same time my email came unusable both in & out.
'Not our problem' said the original hosters you have to contact yell.com
Yell.com said 'oh, so you use the same domain name for your emails as well'
'Ok we'll set you up on MSofficelive and you can access your emails from there, a link will be provided so you can access it all from Outlook' On investigation I found this needed MSOffice to work 2003 or 2007 and that appears to be expensive to buy.
I'd like to go back to using OE to access my emails, i have hundreds on contacts and old emails I use for reference, I don't want to spend dosh on software i'm not going to use
Do you think I should be able to connect it all up just using a new account in OE with the relevant POP3 and smtp settings
Or is that all too simple
