Anyone know where i can get one of these. The BMW part number for the Dakar extension is 46 61 7 655 717, but my dealer has no record of it. Just wondering if it is only available in th USA as this is where the part info and pic are from

Well, maybe an answer for Sues bike. I bought a new std mudguard from the very helpfull Motorworks people, cut off the rear useless bit leaving the 4 holes and refitting it with 2 front screws, then cut the front section from the old guard leaving two holes. I then carefully ground this peice to fit on the rear holes with 2 longer bolts to make up a complete mudguard and refitted it to the bike, now, it does not follow the wheel line leaving a bigger gap at the rear, but that will only help giving a lower angle for dirt leaving the tyre, and it looks fine. With a rubber mudflap at the bottom of the outer mudguard it should keep the bike and her leathers much cleaner. Graham

New mudguard works great, 430miles at the weekend and bike and me much cleaner. If any one wants more information on how to do this, leave your e-mail and Graham will get back to you. sue
