Hi to all, myself and the current Mrs Baz tarred are off to Austria in September, previous jaunts across the channel have always been Dover to Calais. The main reason for this is cost as the price from Hull for two bikes seems exorbitant, I was wondering whether the combined might of this forum would know of any discounts or promo codes. Any and all sharing of such info would be greatly appreciated.

P&O Hull usually have discount codes in their advert in MCN. From Sheffield it is proabbly still cheaper to head to Dover and take the short cheap crossing.

Well if you paid up as a subscriber to UKGSer I could PM you and give you a price ....

I run trips and tours to the Continent and have ITX rates with P&O at Hull ;)

I can't give an open price, but need to know dates of sailings outwards and return.

Not really, not when you take in to account petrol (two bikes?) and an overnight hotel in Dover or just t'other side ;)

Plus the feckin' 'orrible journey down

The overnight cabin is quite nice, especially when you get it on sale, it's a great way of starting a trip, arriving on the continent nice and fresh with the whole day ahead of you.

Always check the prices of the day trip specials... they're often cheaper than the one-way trip or the round trip. I've done this on a couple of occasions and saved loads. There's no penalty for not using the return portion of your ticket.

Hi Baz

My three brothers and I crossed Hull Rotterdam this year. We paid £114.00 return each including cabin. This was done by making a phone call to book as we could not get the web site to book 4 bikes and 4 riders into one cabin. Between us we saved over £600.00. Well worth trying the phone call.
Hope this helps.
Glenn.

Sorry taken so long to reply. Only just looked, there was no special offer we just rang the booking office and the very helpful lady did the deal for us. She looked at the price and said we can do better than that. So as iI said earlier we saved about £600 between us. Hope this helps Glenn.
