Just booked ferry return from Poole to Gijon for bike and 2 passengers including outside 4 berth cabin going out end June coming back July for the unbelievable cost of £236. The boat is probably not as nice as Brittany Ferries but then it is over £300 cheaper.
Worth a look I think.

Are you being towed across in a Skipper 17 ?

Nothing so grand as that, we have to row all the way, but at least we shall both be given a pair of oars!!

Woh! £296 in July. Shows that they can do it when they want, eh? Far longer journey than Newcastle-IJmuiden at half the price. Ok, meals aren't included at price but it's a pity the parent company DFDS can't reinstate a ship like that from Rosyth to IJmuiden or Zeebrugge.

Booked with LD lines . Price on line £296 and couldnt get dates I wanted so phoned and they offered my preferred dates and only £236.

Bargain Rod, this is interesting for me, i plan on a little trip to the pico's in early july, i have been on ld lines website with little joy, i'll have to get definite dates sorted and give them a bell, as you say the ship probably not as good as brittany ferries but surely cant be that bad can thee!??, big difference in price is a big plus for me.

I found it very easy to pick out my 'dummy' booking - on the phone.
Any idea of the meals and prices though? If you're on the tub for 26 hours you'll be bored with Tesco sarnies!

Brilliant price Rod, wish I was going myself!

How long before Brittany review there prices I wonder...

Just booked £313 LD lines versus £458 with Brittany.

Pont Aven is nicer facilities wise, but not nearly £150 nicer..
