"File cannot be read"

some of my saved routes will not open and the following message is displayed;

"File cannot be read because it uses a subsequent file version. This programme can read MPS files as well as GDB files version 2 and below"

anyone any ideas?

You may be using an old version of Mapsource that is incompatible with the GDB3 files. Try downloading a later version of Mapsource from the Garmin website.

what i find strange is these routes where saved in 2007 & 2008, some open & some do not

Are some of the routes saved as .gpx files, in which case they would open, or all as .gdb files?
