I came across this clip yesterday

Very interesting, and it reminded me of many pleasant trips to Skerries in the late 70s to watch the races, including one time when I buried my shiny Honda 750/4 into the side of a Vauxhall Victor on Gracepark Ave on the way home. Ho, ho, ho.

not much sign of the H&S boys in those days,
interesting stuff Fergal...what sort of camera were you using??:augie:D:D

I stand to be corrected on this of course ...but I would say from his position on some of the corners he was definitely using one of these............while flying in one of these for the aerial shots................:D

Cool

Loved the Chumley warner commentary, not sure the sacking around the petrol pumps would make H&S though,Excellent clip..........Thanks for sharing

nice find Fergal:thumb2

I spent most of my school holidays in Skerries and herself now works in Skerries.

From looking at the footage, Skerries must be one of the few small villages that has been relatively untouched by developers.

and Boirche, that wasn't Fergal filming the race, he was riding the No10 bike:augie
