Hi all,

As I am over the water here in Jersey I historically spent hours doing single minded research finding all the best little add-ons etc for my bike.

Then...I found this sight!:D

I am sure there are a great deal of us out there who have enjoyed receiving parcels through the post containing the latest little modification/ personalization item.

Well, as my latest modification is a set of ohlins with the respective price tag attached I thought of a interesting poll...

How much have we all spent on our bikes?

Personally my budjet must be at least at £2500!

(this is my first attempt at a poll so please feel free to edit or add to it )

By the way, my wife wants a poll to see if other wives/partners think were obsessive about our GS's!

Cheers:beerjug:

Over my GS ownership, 3 of em in two years I'd rather stick hot needles in my eyeballs than do the sums on this :nono

Then when I'm finished with me Eyeballs..........I'll start on me Tesies,

I only wanted a Louder Can..........Looked what happened.........

Why didn't anyone warn me that a GS was not conducive to a healthy Bank Balannce !!:(

Financial commitment

I thought the replies this would be fun.......:D

£4000-£5000- £6000 still no where near true costs, but all worth every penny as they say you can`t buy frendship, or can you.

Wouldnt want a NEW one the spec is shit.

The value well exceeds the cost, and that's all I'm admitting to.:yikes

Well if they stop making all the stuff we can stop spending all our money! Besides the accesories I don't even want to think about £££ spend on repairs and what I am about to spend on more repairs! Once you have worked through the gearboxes, brake pads, oil seals, shafts etc etc etc you sell the bike and start all over again:confused:

Think I will try and get this one to a point where it will only need fuel & oil and tyres.

Spend your own money on a GS, are you mad??

You spend money on your GS??

My wife bought me the Jesses. The Remus, the Ohlins, engine bars, tank bars, bash plates, stanchion protectors, the fog lights (front and rear), the spot lights the hugger, and front mud flap, the top box and brake lights, baglux, GPS.......Not to mention 50,000 miles worth of tyres, servicing and repairs...

Hell, tis only fair. After all, she paid for the Gs.....

Approximately $8,780.00 Australian Dollars and that's only for the extras which don't include ABS and the like.

Nor does it include any running costs.

However, as I write this, the missus is in Germany on a holiday, that's the payback!

Mick.
