I was over in Eire a couple of weeks ago, holidaying in the south west corner of that isle.

Despite the "changable weather", the four of us (me, my two brother-in-laws, and a mate) had a great time riding around the three south west "rings" (Dingle, Kerry and Beara).:aidan

In my opinion the Ring of Beara is the best out of the three, probably due to the lack of traffic. :thumb
The "middle" roads in the Kerry pennisula are definately worth a ride. :thumb

Anyway the main reason for this post is:-

Not quite sure if this is unusual, but during a stop over the GlenCar, I took a picture of this fine looking chap checking out my GSA. Was I lucky to get this shot or are mountain goats ten a penny around these parts?

if you had decide to come over in August, you could have visited the King - although this year he is an import

I hear it took them 3 months to "befriend" and catch him :aidan

I have seen a few near here up close, nice animals but very smelly

:D

Plenty of wild goats round this part of Kerry - you'd often see them along with deer in the Killarney National Park, and frequently on any of the mountain roads.... I think they're quite nice better than the bl**dy sheep and not so stupid. Never got close enough to smell them though :D
