First GS, graphics change and progress day 10

:D

Its really funny to see how this thread can start blokes bickering about things as simple as stickers yet when it turns to the "women" and bike parts we are all in agreement! :thumb

Stickers.... with, without... who gives a toss??? We all do what we feel looks best in "our OWN opinion" and no one elses opinion would make us change our minds :rob

no.. less is definitely more. The entire bike is one massive statement without the graphics.

Motorbiker, is that just in case you dont see the "massive statement" from the front??? :D

DAMN!!! I cant wait to hear what will be said when I fit my white walled tyres and tear drop fuel tank!!! :D

As recommended today I spent a few hours stripping the disks off my front wheel to clean up the float washers then strip both front calipers. The symptoms were; Oscilating front brake pressure when pulling to a stop. My first thoughts were a warped disk or two?

A test ride tomorrow should prove if this has fixed the issue...although I do have my doubts! I feel a pair of disks coming on :(

Also whilst chuffing on a cafe creme before refitting the front wheel I stuffed my finger in the front wheel bearings (as you do).... Hmmm... does a square ball bearing make it special? :) Both bearings stall with a worrying flat spot apparent at random...another one for the list!

I'm so glad im not one of these people who "just ride it" :D hehehehehehe

its a funny old world this gs ownership thing

you just wait until it starts making noises:augie

More progress! :-D February 7th 2010

Well, as agreed I travelled to Grimsby at the week end to do the change of with Dinger! A round trip of 640 miles, 5.5 hour ride (each way) then swap arse ends (for some reason he wasnt impressed when he clocked me unbolting his ADV tank :) )

Can anyone spot the part that looks like the odd one out? :augie

Even more good news, I have a black and silver seat on the way!

May look better than the blue?

There is no chance that I will ever be fitting GSA shocks! I can bearly touch the floor now as it is! :)
