Hi Folks,
my trusty steed has got her first MOT this Saturday and I was wondering if any other 1200 owners have had theirs done yet, and did they encounter any problems getting a pass ?

(Waiting for the inevitable 1200 reliability puns about 3 years running etc. Yawns at the ready............)

Good luck with your MOT, I am sure there will be no issues, where are you taking it, I need one soon on my other bike. I use Dimons in Gosport generally.:thumb2

Hi K12, have we met before at SPC ??

I use ATS in Fareham as they are easy for me to get to and a lot of dealers use them for MOT's. My only real worry is that I fitted a set of Micro DE foglights on a light bar I fabricated myself and they are switched via an Autoswitch from the main beam feed wire. I am unsure about the various rules and regulations surrounding foglights on a motorcycle such as positions of lights and switches.

Fingers crossed I get a pass ticket.

May have met at SPC, I was talking to a GS rider the day I traded my K12 for a yellow 12GS, gave me good advise, and I will be at Bahnstormers next saturday for the "grand" opening, good luck to them, my bike is now a 56 reg grey one, love it now it hasn't got servo my reg is hk56 ytt, if you are up there look out for me and say hello. Good luck with mot.

Cheers mate, that may have been me. I remember talking up the GS to a K12 owner at SPC, did you have a mate in tow at the time ?? I was getting my 1200 serviced and was doing the usual bored loitering over endless coffee (such was SPC's service at the time).

If I don't get called out next weekend (I'm duty engineer for the week) I'll be there for the big day. Should be pretty busy I reckon, hope to see you there (MOT dependent). :thumb

Result. One advisory on rear brake pads. :D

Dipped beam needed adjusting as way too low. No problems with foglights, not even tested. Thats another 12 months riding sorted.:thumb
