...started with the desire for a bacon sammich, not cooked by me.....

So I set-off with a vague idea of a few fords linked together...

Headed up the coast and cut inland towards Ulgham.

Last time I tried this one the water was a foot deep and flowing really fast.

It was easy this time.

Headed back towards the coast and north to Warkworth.
I've never dared to attempt this one:

....and didn't this time either. The sun was blinding and it still looks fast and deep..... and long.......:o

Doesn't look too bad from the footbridge.....:augie

I carried on up to Alnwick and then across the moors towards Rothbury:

It was very blowy, but a cracking day none the less....

Couldn't see anyone to argue about ABS with in Rothbury, so headed off over the moors to the south, tuning off ontoo minor roads and more fords:

Doesn't look much, does it?
It's slippery as hell though and I've done the biggest dab ever when I lost the front free-wheeling through the beggar!

....a little further on there's a much easier one:

...I suddenly remember my bacon sammich and decide to head for ST.Mary's Island at Whitley Bay......

My bacon sammich becomes a cheeseburger with onions......

.......what?

Oh! The lighthouse?
