SO.............................. It was delivered on thursday,and today was the first real ride!! It is amazing how things have changed since 1971!!!!! It is a living thing a visceral animal and it stinksof 2 stroke and petrol
I had one when I was 19 and bought an H1B 5 years ago but always wanted the A. So its small noisy and a lot of fun.Fuel economy appauling about 20mpg and it likes the 2 stroke oil!! It has been fully restored and stops people in their tracks.It seems to attract people of all kinds when its parked up I guess you dont see many these days.I'm running it in but its pretty dead below 4000rpm then the power kicks in at 6500 where I cant go at the momment.It makes my Gsa and T max seem very advanced and amazingly easy to ride you really do have to plan ahead on TLS front brakes and 60 HP ! So yes,I like it ,its fun each trip an adventure,you are not sure it wont break down and theres a lot of mechanical noise to worry about is that the big end? is is seizing? whats that vibration? if I grip the tank harder the noise goesSo yes I love it,but unlike the late seventies It could not be my only bike

Would be an interesting bike to take to the Moto piston, Havent seen very many of them still going due to serious high attrition rates. Hopefully the take off about 6000rpm is still there. Has anybody come up with a mod to stop the middle cylinder cutting out in the wet. i used a cigarette box and it worked a treat. enjoy

yes they are critical in the float height and plug type ,its a very raw power that seems so weird these days ,you feel everything thats going on,it even has 2 steering dampersMy 17 year old lad reckons its the most beautifull bike he's ever seen!!! It really does take you back in a way a modern Retro cant

That just looks so right. It looks mint, what a fantastic job. You're welcome to it though, I've never really loved two strokes although I was nearly tempted by a Suzuki 500T.

P.S. Remember that TLS shoes don't work in reverse. If you stop facing uphill it's a full Hendon Shuffle!

That really is a thing of beauty. I remember a mate of mine lending me his to visit a girlfriends while my T140V Bonnie was being repaired, it scared the be-jesus out of me, could`nt keep the front wheel on the ground.
Thought I recognised those garage doors as well, if I`m correct they contain a whole feast of beauty, not least the immaculate Z900`s. Feast your eyes on them here.
