Dont know if this is the correct forum but had my first test ride on the 1150 adventure today.

Got to ask one question from the experienced hands on this website.

Going down hill, power off, using the engine for braking, the handlebars started to wobble. Nothing bad but a bit off putting.

I checked the forks for play, with the bike on the centre stand. They seemed to be fine. I asked about the tyre pressures, the salesman said he'd checked them.

I didnt think this would be normal on an adventure or any other BMW but when asking the salesman i got the classic "they all do that" due to being a flat twin" :eek

Thanks

I cant say I have ever had that problem and I have had 2 Adventures.
Great bike :thumb
I only wish I would be using my bike tomorrow instead of the car, when I head up your way.
We are off to Croabh Haven for a week and then over to Perthshire.
Car loaded, off to bed 4am start.
Mike.

Odd?

Been down lots and lots of hills on mine, and never had that problem. Never trust a salesman. Great bike though, highly recommended... :D

Nope, never had it do that on mine.................. :nenau

probably

front tyre out of balance - had it happen to me once and lived through it - when new tyre was fitted it had gone away
