I've fitted the lowered footrests to the GS but still have not shortened the existing gear lever. That's partly out of laziness and partly because (depending on the boots I wear), I can just about manage OK with the set up unchanged. I'm also reluctant to make an irreversible alteration to the OEM set up!
Then, looking at the gearbox t'other day, it occurred that the old pre kinematic lever might be just about the right length?
