My number 2 son bought me a Datatag set at the weekend.

Apart from the fact that the R1150GS has tweo saddles and not one (so requiring another 'rice' transponder), it isn't at all clear how to fit the bits to the bike. It doesn't have the same acres of plastic that my Blackbird has.

So, where have you guys put your little bits and pieces? Which bits have you etched?

And I'm NOT looking forward to taking the tyres off the wheels to glue transponders to the inside of the wheels ....

I etched the beak and the tail section. The transponders I poked down into the gaps in the casting of the hubs with loads of Araldite.

Use your noggin. Think of the parts most likely to be needed to replace crash damage...ermm...Tank ? Beak ? Mudguards ?
Screen ? OOPS,I appear to have told you. The top or side of the Telelever is a good place, along with the top or side of the swinging arm/bevel box.

When you register your kit with Data tag you can request extra kit from them. I did it when I changed the tank, screen etc but you must be registered with them first
