Fitting a Touratech Hard Part?

OK......I must be thick! Also not helped by the fact that I cannot understand German either!!!

But how does it fit

I understand the principle but see attached photo.

1) Is the top plate supposed to fit flush on the telelever arm?

2) If, and I assume that I have, fitted it correctly so far, do you then need to cut the plastic nut cover down to suit?

3) I cannot seem to get the top plate past that first step, do I need to?

4) The little plastic clip that held the brake pipe & ABS cable, do you remove this clip or can you ease the pipes back into it again?

HARD PART

WTH is the function of a "hard part" ?
(& no cynical replies)

1) Yes (ish) - although you see plenty that don't - see 2)
2) Yes, trim the plastic cover (tin snips)
3) I didn't take the hoses out of the clip on the mudguard - so I guess put them back in.


Er the pics changed? So which clip are you on about?

Wish i had looked at English instuctions first.For the footpegs hard part it does say you must fit the left side first,and of course i fitted the right one first.
Will i need to redo it ? What is the reason ?
