Been playing with the top box mount on my 1200 Adv.

By taking off the pillion seat and moving the mounting plate thingy you can relocate the top box and still retain the rear rack. Might come in handy at some point but looks a bit weird so I think I will put it back as it was

Also tested how water tight the new ali lugguage is today by riding in some heavy rain and near guales. Then power washed the boxes when I got home and not a drop of water has got inside :thumb

I ride with my topbox on the pillion seat all the time, makes things a lot more stable than having it on a cantelever over the back. Only downside is the difficulty in mount / dismount.
