Fitting an Innovv K7 dashcam

Thanks for your comments tjmouse. Take a look at the attached photo of the Clip, this pushes in from the rear of the Beak "P" and only needs Finger pressure with a wiggle to get started and the Top as shown "T" uppermost until the threaded Boss aligns with the hole in the Beak that is already there.

Just one important point. Before fitting the Camera, finger tighten the mounting Screw until fully home, to make sure that when tightened with the Camera Bracket in place, that the Screw doesn't hit the underside of the Beak and possibly damage this when fully Spanner tightened. In my earlier photo you will see that I had to add extra washers to make sure of this.

I just bought one of these darn things. K7. probably should have read this thread and others sooner. I had a cheep dash cam on my triumph. Set it up plugged in to USB port and it worked fine. So my cunning plan was the same with this bike. K7 supposed to be better video quality and can use bigger SD card. Even so the K6 would be already on the bike.
Turns out. K7 has to be hard wired. (I haven't opened the box yet)
I have connectors from local auto shop but they have a blade which cuts into the wire. My concern is damp and weather rather than warranty which is long past.
Any powered ignition circuit should work. Cunning plan. Use the USB circuit. If I use the USB circuit. Why don't I just connect with a heat shrink connector to an old usb lead.
Hopefully this will work.
Or find a better more weather proof connector for powered wire tapp on line?
Any helpful suggestions would be welcome.

Late reply and not sure if you're still looking for an answer? More BMW than Triumph, tho.... ?

The chap (Dave from "Getting On") mentions a Denali adapter unit DNL.WHS.10000 for a switched supply. (y)

Have been thinking of fitting one of these cameras to my bike. Which one would people advise the Innovv K6 or the K7 and how good do you think either one is.

Thanks in advance

K6. Easy to fit. Just plug into your USB, or you can hard wire. K7 has bulky control box which may be difficult to locate. Both operate well. I have a '21 1250GS with a K6 fitted.

I agree. Fitted K6 system to Ducati Multistrada RS, 1250 and 1300 GS Adventure. Reliable and easy to fit. Used usb connection.
