I've just tried fitting a HID kit to my 2003 1150 GS, but it isn't working.

The kit I ordered from vision bulbs has come with some sort of relay kit that requires connecting to the battery, I thought you didn't have to do that with the HID kits.

Can anyone help please?

Do I need to fit this relay kit? Or have they sent me a car kit by mistake?

This is the link to their website and the install pages, it only shows cars.....

Any help would be appreciated folks

I got my HID from Nippy and it connects up to the battery.Looks like you need to with this setup as well - give it a go and see what happens ?

Electricity works the same for bikes and cars.

How are you trying to power the ballast ?.

the existing power lead plugs in the black cover, then its fed onto the HID circuit etc.

It has just been working!!! But now has stopped along with my full beam as well, I was moving the wires around the tiewrap them up and it stopped working.....

Any ideas?

Take the power from the bulb backing (plastic bit) which would normally goto the bulb and direct it to the ballast. The one from the ballast goes back through the hole you've made in the bulb backing to your new HID bulb.

BTW I'm not talking about the plastic connector that goes into the plastic backing, that should remain as is. You need to take the wires that would normally connect to the bulb and feed these out and to the ballast.

i think i've done that and it worked but now it has stopped. Where's the fuse for the headlights? wondering if that has blown for some reason especially with the main beam not working.
