the instructions are really good and with pictures for all of us that can't read.
Hi Nugget, yep fine thanks. I was fine but the bike was written off - bent rear frame and snapped at the front! I now have the BM bars on the replacement as they dont have the lateral bar ;-)

Sorry to hear of your off - are you saying the lateral bar in the TT crash bars are what caused your off? I'm a long way from riding the bike that hard but am still interested to hear your explanation.
Hepco & Becker for me but watch how your riding style develops, some riders start pushing the bike down more whilst staying more upright themselves (like a motorcross style), this seriously reduces the ground clearance if you start pushing it harder.
I had advantage of mate behind to warn me I was doing it before I grounded out, once I'd started leaning again with the bike, the ground clearance issues went away - tho' I ride like an old man so its all relative

Hi -my belief is that these bars, with the lateral bar quite low compared to the cylinder, stick out more than others and it was the joint at the front that ground out first, i.e. no tell tale from the pegs or anywhere else....on the day in question we were certainly cracking on a bit (in the Pyrenees!) but I hadn't reckoned on losing steerage when the sparks flew....& off into the ditch I went. Talking to the Service Guys @ local dealers they reckoned its not the first time they've heard of it happening......anyway, that was enough to go with the BM bars for me;-)
