Five new BMWs for 07
BMW is set to continue it’s breakneck development pace, revealing five new bikes before the end of the year.
There will be a new F650 in GS and supermoto forms, a tricked up version and a naked version of the R1200S, and the F800 in naked and GS guises.
The firm is also likely to be entering the 800cc MotoGP game as well.
You can get full details of the new bikes only in the May 10 edition of MCN.

They wouldn't fit a mudguard that short - it serves no purpose like that.

Rode the F800S on the launch in Bristol yesterday and thought it was fantasic... still wearing the grin!! What a great motor and chasis. Everyone should try one to appreciate what we can look forward to with a GS. My sincere apologies to the guy on the 650GS, daughter pillion, who had to wait past 2.30pm 'cos my 30mins spilled over... all sorts of crap in town held me up BUT realising I was running out of time I did get to give the bike a more 'spirited' test :thumb

saw the 800 today

Saw the 800 today at BMF, did not ride it but disappointed. Got 650 at the moment with lots of problems with engine paint flaking off, due to stone damage and grot gettin under the paint. 800 has v short mudguard and no other protection for engine at all, going to be lots of stones on frontof engine, lots of paint flaking. Looked at a Transalp too, large tea tray protects engine from stones thrown up by front wheel. Bit off thread I know but was told by main dealer that steering head bearing failed because of 'too enthusiastic' washing washing grease out of bearings, paint flaking tho was 'owner negligence' for not washin it often enough !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF :D
