Flappy rubber cover

Hi everyone,

Just finished fitting a Zumo 550 to my new GSA and took it for its' first run this morning. I have it mounted on the top rail so that it just clears my line of sight to the rev counter, however the rubber contact cover flaps around and masks the rev counter at lower speeds (it coveniently lifts out of the way as speed builds!)

So, do other owners ....

a) Live with it? or

b) Cut it off (or remove somehow?)

I'd welcome any feedback on this matter.

You need the Touratech Rubber Band, a very reasonable £37.

I have a spare one I'll let you have for £20.

The contact cover should fold under and stay put as there is a magnet in it.

Thanks - should have realised that it would park somehow.

Yes, you're right it's magnetic and stows away neatly.
