Flash player problem.

I've recently been having problems with Adobe reader so uninstalled everything Adobe including the flashplayer....well everything except Adobe reader 9.4.1 which I cannot uninstall, it tells me the patch package doesn't exist.

I tried reinstalling Adobe but the computer either freezes or shuts the page everytime I go to an Adobe page (even with anti virus turned off) so after a system restore I've installed another PDF reader which is fine.

BUT

My flash player for watching Youtube etc. has gone and I'm still unable to get onto the Adobe download. After searching reviews etc. I installed another flash player which also wouldn't play Youtube so I've uninstalled it.

I use Windows XP.
Can anyone recommend another Flash player other than Adobe which will play all the usual.

If you haven't already I would do a registry fix before you bother trying to install flash player...
Microsoft do a thing called Fix it if you haven't already got a registry fixing program such as Ccleaner already.

I've downloaded the fix it thingy and ran. It could be that the computer and internet are generally running better now but I go to the Adobe page and it just puts itself and all other tabs off.

So, I still need a recommed free download flash player to use with youtube etc.

Ha, not much help from all you computer geeks

My lady suggested I use downloads from here http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/

Then I used them to get the flashplayer....

and it's fixed

or you could have downloaded Google Chrome which has everything built into it and is independent from anything else.

Spent over an hour last week ****ing about with internet explorer on one of the shop computers tryin to get it to run adobe flash with no great success, then just downloaded Google Chrome in a matter of a few seconds and all websites worked. So simple !
