Hi Guys bought a flip screen from powerbronze, when ordering i explained that the GSA screen is different from the standard GS they said theirs fits both are you sure i said?yes says their stroppy customer adviser Stephaine, anyway gets it,takes mine off and hey ,guess what,. it dont fit So rings back helpfull Miss S well its the right one she says... So iv had to take pics and mail them because they dont believe me so im sending it back and see what they say.So any of you guys had a problem with this screen its way to narrow and you have to pull it apart to fit it over the extenstion blocks and then it doesnt line up correctly.Be interested in your comments guys...

Ahhh... a prime example.

this would be 'reason for buying MRA # 7'

#7 - 'you know it will fit'

I was being 'flippant' about flip screens....

There are a number of reasons for buying MRA...

number 1 - they work
number 2 - they look the business
number 3 - say bye bye to turbulence
number 4 - they have adjustability built in
number 5 - they come in 'smoke' or 'clear'
number 6 - they are probably the best after market screen available. (and a definite favourite amongst tossers)

number 7 - They Fit the bike straight from the box with no messing

there are probably more reasons... but 7 is enough to be going on with....

There is one available for both the 1150 GSA and the 1200 GSA

yup ive got the mra #7 and it fits my 1150 GS fine. beware of losing mid bolts tho because mra wont answer a equest for new ones. That may be my fault as I dont sprechen zee deustch.

Just checking, it fit's right on the 1150GSA without having to buy standard GS mounting pods?
It's just that I spoke to Jaws about ordering one just the other week and he said I'd need the pods from a standard GS to fit the screen to a GSA?

I was assuming that the OP has a 1200... maybe i was wrong. the german site doesn't mention needing any original bits for that particular bike.

However you're right about the 1150... but as all the parts are readily available from Motorworks - for not a lot of money. I don't see that as being a huge problem. Given the savings you get from our friend Jaws... its still a bargain all in all. :thumb

Sooooooooooo

So chaps i buy the MRA screen, then i have to buy the plastic pods to fit said screen to my GSA?

or you could go back to plan A. a powerbronze.... and end up hating it. (thats if you can actually get one to fit)

or simply get a new OEM screen....

thanks

thanks for your help tony,iv PM'd Jaws to see if he can get me a vario, and motorworks hopefully will tell me the extra bits il need. Quint

screen sorted

Well guys fitted my MRA onto the gsa today and boy it looks the bol..cks,You do need to have the standard gs screen bits to fit it but Darren and tez at Motorworks are a couple of top men they couldnt have been more helpfull and even sent diaghrams with all the parts i needed....

I secured a Givi high screen from e-bay (99p unbelievably)

Had to attack it with a dremel to stop it scratching the light cover but it did cure the buffeting my head was getting from the original
