After a 100 mile ride on new gearbox oil it is minging green/black mess again so I suspect something is dead/dying in the gearbox :(

I have spoken to the master (Steptoe) and will get it over to him in a week or so.

In the meantime is there any way of flushing the gearbox in order to clean the black oil out out so I can have a go at working out how quickly the oil is being contaminated?

I know I am being massively optimistic but the bike has only done 31K and I am wondering if the oil has somehow been contaminated in the past and the residue is now turning fresh oil black?

Unlikely I know especially as the reason I checked it was a whine on the gearbox!

Also is there anyone in the Swindon area who could come and give me a second opinion on the gearbox whine before I trek over to Steptoe? I would hate to get there for him to say "they all sound like that mate!"

Lot of them do, ear plugs and just ride the thing.
