Pondering on suitable mods to make my GSA a nicer bike to ride ,,
and wonder if anyone has managed to create some kind of flywheel effect either electronic or by retro fitting a heavy lump of steel to the crank ..It`s really begining to bug me.. as is that nasty surging and Lurch as the fueling cuts back in at 1800 rpm..
Or should I give in and set fire to the bastard !

BUY A cx500/650 - they have a contra-rotating clutch to counteract just this effect - also at the front of the engine for easy servicing - also a narrower V-twin for squeezing between cars.
If they had a decent cam-chain tensioner - it'd be a good engine.

you think a BM is bad - try an older Guzzi !!

Suzuki had a centrifugal flywheel, that expanded and stopped rotating at higher revs - on a 650 parallel twin - maybe only an American thing - don't know if it was any good or not.

surging is just bad tuning.

Just balance the Throttle bodies properly by this I mean do it yourself instead of taking it to a dealer. My Adventure doesn't surge at all (just vibrates like a bastard above 5.5k)

Riding with the back brake half on when you get to 1800rpm may stop the surging :D :D :D :D cheaper than a techlusion/'y'/remus/snorkel/k&n/BB etc etc etc :D :D :D :D

Thanks for the advice guys...get those thottle bodies set up really good ....however what i`m really looking for is that good old fashioned driveability like my old R100 had ....
lead in da wheel /buy a car/suzuki....tossers
