Might be of interest to some of you who live in places where there's fog/mist/rain about at the moment......... hey that's the UK!!
Buy a bottle of headlight amber/yellow, about £2.50 from auto accessory shops [one little bottle can do it about 6 times] If it is the type that doesn't come with a little brush built into the lid - just buy a modelling paint brush or nick the cap and brush from one of the missus nail varnish bottles, but clean it first!!....oh yes and before putting it back as well
. Paint your lights [ I use a couple of coats] This gives a good strong yellow.
Another bonus is I know other road users see me more easily, as I can be differentiated from all the normal white lights.
Great thing is, it doesn't wash off - but when you don't want it any more - meths and a rag and its gone!
