After searching the net for extended foot pegs, I couldn't believe the prices just because its a BMW gs thats a licence to charge silly money.
I thought I would rake through my peddle bike drawers as I had a few pairs of peddle that had cages round the peddle that were attached with four m5 screws, as it happened the cages fitted perfect all I had to do was take out the rubbers out of the gs foot pegs then drill two m5 holes and attach the cages with lock nuts and bolts and 20mm 5m ally sleeve as a spacer.
The total cost was nothing as I had all the parts available in the workshop, if I had to buy the mountain bike peddles they are a fiver off eBay they are good quality they have teeth around the top for good grip they also have grip around the bottom of the cage so can be put on ether way.

I've taken a few pictures so if any ones interested I can send them on, I'm not sure how to post pictures on this site
Thanks graham

I thought the same and was thinking along the same lines. Yes, pics please. I think the expensive replacements also tilt, don't they?

I didn't need to touch the tilt mec I only attached the cage to the foot peg body
It works great I can stand if I go off road as they are made for mountain bikes they are very strong and very well made

I'm not a full member so I don't think I can post pictures not sure if its possible to send email addresses, just let me no how I can send or post pictures please
Thanks graham

Kevin

It would be good of you if you could email them to me on pn31146(at)hotmail.co.uk

Thanks.

I'll send the photos tonight or tomorrow as will be going out till 10ish

I'm making a 3" wide 24" long tool roll to go just under the back seat rack, if you looking at your gs from the back it will be mounted on the right side above the back wheel, it's made out of 3 inch down pipe that comes down the side of your home catching rain water, it's plastic comes in black, white, red, brown, it can be made of round tube or square tube it has glued end and both ends has threded tops so can be opened from ether end, it's completely water tight when closed, all I need to do is make fixing to the under frame so it can be easly taken from the bike when needed, the length will make a excellent tool box and it will be attached to the bike at all time, the cost of materials will be about £20

I have made a black tool box from the side and back it looks really good as the exhaust on the other side make it look balanced, when I get round to becoming a full member I'll post some photos
