If it is just for data, for my car I use Three's 24Gb / 24 Month card, i.e. you get 24Gb of data and up to 24 month to use it. I've yet to use all 24Gb of data in the 24 months, and I took it out of my car and put it in my phone when I went to Canaries for 6 weeks last year.
Obviously, if you start streaming regularly, you'll blow your data in no time, but if you are just accessing emails, and chat groups, etc., it should be fine.
